How to share a webpage

There are two different ways of sharing a webpage. Before you have the page or after you already opened the website you want to share.

Remember you will need the Whisbi Share a Web Page Chrome extension that is available from the Chrome Web Store

  • Before having the page you want to share: Go to Whisbi Desktop and from the Sharing options button select “Share a web page”.

    On the following screen, you’ll have to type in the desired web page to share and click on “Go there“. This will then open a new window with the URL.

How your customer sees the page depends on the size of the browser window on your side. The extension automatically opens the web page at the best viewing size. You don’t need to maximize the window.

  • After opening the website you want to share: Go to that tab/window and then click on the Whisbi Share a Web Page Chrome extension icon and “Start Sharing”. Soon after your customer will start seeing it.

If your window is maximized or doesn’t have the ideal window size you can click again on the Whisbi Share a Web Page extension icon and you will see the option to “Fit to sharing area”. This will change your window size to fit the best viewing size for your customer.

From this pop up you can also “Stop sharing”.

You can tell the web page is being shared because the Whisbi Share a Web Page icon will appear with a red dot
