Ultra-low bitrate
Problem
Because of COVID-19 a lot of broadcasts moved to home environments with internet connections that are shared with multiple people and devices. Shared internet connections are known for their changes in bandwidth and so, have an impact on your broadcast. Home router devices may also have unknown video caching buffers that can potentially stop a stream.
Solution
The low-quality setting has been reduced to 288kbps to accommodate home streaming. The reduction in the bitrate is designed to make the stream less susceptible to reductions in upload stream bandwidth, as well as potentially reduce the impact on video buffers in intermediate router devices.
Conditions
The streaming improvements are not solving the problem of having multiple people and devices sharing a network that can extend beyond the immediate home setup. We still suggest you use a dedicated Wi-Fi network for stability.
